If sandwiches were inverted, the smell of freshly baked salami baguettes would waft through Italian thoroughfares, and pigeons would feast on meat crumbs each morning. Order properly ordered deli treats with today's Groupon: $9 gets you $18 worth of pizza, deli sandwiches, and specialty sodas at Falcone's.
Deli-meat missionary Danny Falcone emigrated from New York's Little Italy to bring Falcone-family favorites to Oklahoma City. A hot sandwich, such as the meatball parmigiana, makes an Italian classic accessible in the forkless wasteland that is lunchtime eating ($7.95). A slice of spinach pizza satisfies triangular cravings ($3), and an entire square Sicilian pie corners growling stomachs ($14.99). Try a Manhattan Special soda, which washes down deli delights in a sugary sarsaparilla bath, or tickles sugar tusks with vanilla bean-y bubbles ($2.50). For those who prefer to eat at home, where there’s a comfortable armchair and no unfamiliar ghosts, there are by-the-pound deli items, such as olives stuffed with prosciutto, garlic, jalapeño, and cheese ($9.50 per pound) and imported Italian artichokes ($12.99 per pound). - Falcone's has good New York style pizza and one of the few places in OKC that has Sicilian pizza. The sandwiches are good too with fresh ingredients and unique Italian meats & cheeses that are hard to find in OKC. – Trent S., Yelp
- This store is three times as big as the original Falcone's location and not as homey, but the pizza, stromboli and calzone are the same. The crust is a great, true New York style, just as I ate when I lived in Manhattan. – A Tevington, Bricktown location, Urbanspoon
When you go to Falcone's, it doesn't matter if you show up alone or with your extended family—they'll have a pizza that's just your size. Pick up a slice for the road or stay and split an 18-inch Bianca or margarita pizza with friends. Whole pizzas can also don a custom variety of toppings, allowing customers to get creative with their food. The rest of the menu consists of hot sandwiches, pasta, and Italian snacks, including homemade meatballs and garlic knots. When given two hours of notice, the kitchen can also prepare a dinner tray of meat or cheese lasagna fit for a family of eight or one moderately hungry ogre.
