It's known among photographers as "the golden hour"—that stretch of twilight when the sky fills with the warm colors of sunset and the earth becomes a dreamscape of gossamer-soft light and dynamic shadows. To capture this magical time of day with a camera, it takes a delicate balance of exposure, depth of field, and light sensitivity. Professional photographer Bryan Tan helps you achieve that balance. Bring along your camera and tripod for a stunning twilight photo shoot along the shores of Treasure Island.

  Bryan Tan walks you through camera setup, manual mode, and exposure under sunset and nighttime conditions.

• Photograph the Skyline and Bay Bridge
  Notable landmarks give Bryan ample opportunity to demonstrate how the light changes over time, and how to give your photos a greater dynamic range.

Each event is capped at 10 participants; each event requires a minimum of 4 participants in order to take place.

Bryan Tan is a self-taught photographer who has mastered visual aesthetics in a variety of settings. Bryan first began experimenting with his camera's capabilities in high school and shows no sign of stopping, even after parleying his obsession into a career. Bryan has made a living off his photography for the past five years, and has been sharing his expertise with others for the last two during his workshops at Digital Photo Academy and Citizen Space.

Groups meet outside of 600 Avenue of the Palms and wander the surrounding area during the event.
