The ensemble members of Hubris Productions proudly wear their snark on their sleeves as they hit the studio stage of the Greenhouse Theater Center to present Wendy MacLeod’s black comedy The House of Yes. During Thanksgiving at the home of the Pascal family, their eldest son, Marty, returns home with an unannounced guest: his new fiancée, Lesly. Her presence is frowned upon by his mother, his brother Anthony, and, most of all, his twin sister, who has recently been released from a mental hospital and believes herself to be Jackie Onassis. Tensions come to a head when a hurricane traps the group in their house, leading to troubling and violent revelations about Marty and his family.

Founded in 2008, the Greenhouse Theater Center fills out its historic Lincoln Park building with two 195-seat main-stage theaters and two 60-seat studio theaters. The previous home of companies such as the Body Politic Theater and Victory Gardens Theater, the spaces now serve as incubators for a host of small to midsize theater companies and eggs containing freshly cloned Shakespeares.
