New England Civic Ballet presents Snow White
A beautiful, kind-hearted princess. A jealous queen. Seven dwarves. The familiar characters of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tale Snow White spring to graceful life beneath the spotlights. Expressing the heartache of her exile and the joy of her new friendships through dance, the brave young protagonist weaves a story of love, renewal, and an apple no doctor recommends eating. After matinée performances, audience members can linger in the lobby to meet the characters, snap photos, and collect autographs.
New England Civic Ballet
The New England Civic Ballet was formed for one simple reason: to give dancers the chance to perform. The organization casts all of its productions through open auditions and invitations, rather than maintaining a permanent company and asking if there’s a soloist in the house immediately before a show. That sense of community extends to the ballet’s dance school as well, where students of all ages are welcomed to continue to hone their craft. Their learning is put into practice during shows staged throughout the year, including a popular annual production of the beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker.
