- The Film: A story of the unlikely friendship between a black heterosexual retired preacher/Civil Rights leader and a white lesbian activist/author explores the quest for civil liberties from Selma to the Stonewall riots. Along the way it delves into everything from racial injustice and police brutality to transgender discrimination and LGBTQ homelessness.
- Get There Early: The filmmakers will lead a pre-show discussion starting at 5 p.m.
- Stay Late: After the show is over, Rev. Dr. Neil Cazares-Thomas will moderate another discussion with director Marilyn Bennet, producer Gil Caldwell, and Dallas-based activists featured in the film.
