Creed Bratton

While some might know Creed Bratton as just Creed—his character from NBC’s The Office—his musical history is just as notable. He first rose to prominence as a member of The Grass Roots, an act that rocketed to stardom in 1967 with the top-10 single “Let’s Live for Today.” Creed turned his success as a songwriter and guitarist with that band into a diverse career as an actor, a musician, and an actor-who-plays-a-musician. Now, whether playing solo, with backing band the 3DVBs, or alongside The Office cast mate Ed Helms, he lets loose with quirky folk-rock tunes that alternate between sweet and guffaw-inducing. His most recent album, Bounce Back, features Helms’ banjo on the catchy “Rubber Tree,” as well as “Love Me Like You Dance,” a ukulele-laden ditty that Muruch praises as “fun Hawaiian Honky-Tonk.”
