What You'll Get
Inner peace is like the Sasquatch—many people claim it's real, but most remain skeptical until the moment it seizes them while meditating on a mountaintop. Today’s Groupon brings the bliss: for $20, you get to take five classes at Karoun Yoga (a $50 value). You must attend all five classes within one month. Within an intimate setting, the caring contortionists at Karoun Yoga help aspiring benders heal and energize their muscle and mind matter through the slow, fluid movements and breathing of Vinyasa flow. Tenderfooted yogis can dip a toe into the relaxing waters of gentle yoga classes, which introduce postures and give students a chance to practice at the gentle pace of a sprinting snail. Depending on your bendsperience, the all-levels course tailors movements to stimulate the limbs of both beginner and experienced pretzel-people. Power yoga places emphasis on smooth sequencing, keeping muscles moving at all times to prevent the appearance of moss. Students solidifying the Stretch Armstrong abilities of their spines bask in the pleasant natural light of the Pearl Street studio's historical Birnie Building. The experienced, hands-on instructors welcome athletes with compassion and personal attention, leaving students feeling pliable, refreshed, and at ease, fully equipped to reach a difficult itch or use their clear minds to telekinetically remove itches from strangers.

About Karoun Yoga Studio
The pressure was starting to get to Karoun Charkoudian, much like a teakettle when an entire family stares at it impatiently. She had completed grad school and was looking for a corporate gig, and this new phase in life was causing her a lot of confusion. But all of that went away when a friend brought her to a Bikram yoga class in 2003. There, she discovered newfound peace and clarity. In the years that followed, Karoun completed teacher training for several types of yoga, including Vinyasa flow and Iyengar, and became heavily influenced by the meditative movements of Chinese qi gong.
Now she shares her expertise within the bright green walls at Karoun Yoga. The intimate, modern studio is also home to other experienced instructors who approach yoga from the realms of fitness, rehabilitation, dance, and spirituality.
