Today's side deal teaches you how to handle your mechanical third eye. For $40, you get one of three two-hour photography classes from Kate Byars Photography, a $100 value. You must have your own SLR camera or a mobile easel and the ability to paint extremely quickly. All classes take place in Byars' Midtown warehouse studio.
This deal invites you to choose from three classes. The What Does This Button Do? class works through the camera's essential functions; Why Do My Shots Stink? covers the basic elements of composition and creativity; and I See the Light! is a crash course in how to utilize the lighting that’s available to you. Byars caps each class at around 10 students so that she can spare individual attention for each and every participant. The first hour of the course is lecture and the second involves hands-on picture-shooting practice. Classes are offered Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in the morning and early afternoon. Check the schedule for individual class times. As the scheduled sessions fill up, additional times and dates will be added.
