I loved your restaurant and while I was apprehensive over the prices when I first saw the menu, you quickly changed my mind with your top tier service and food to die for! I hope that my husband and I will be able to enjoy Kil@wat for more than special occasions. The sea bass was amazing! I can't stop raving about how delicious the food was and dessert was perfect! Thank you for such a wonderful experience and for not skimping on quality.

What You'll Get

Hunger, unlike ambulance sirens, meningitis, and restraining orders, is not something you can safely ignore. Answer the mighty call of a bellowing belly with today's Groupon, which gets you modern American fare at Kil@Wat, located inside the InterContinental Hotel downtown. Choose between the following options:

  • For $20, you get $40 worth of dinner
  • For $10, you get $20 worth of lunch

Within its sleek, upscale interior, Kil@Wat offers a potent mixture of traditional entrees infused with bold, modern flavors. Diners hungry for a diverse collection of flavors can skim Kil@Wat’s dinner menu and its tempting tapas section, featuring baked-fresh goat cheese on warm, grilled ciabatta ($7), as well as crab Boursin tater-tots ($9). Before consuming the culinary headliner, wolf down an appetizing opening act such as the Asian-spiced boneless wings paired with creamy cucumbers and an avocado ranch sauce ($9). For the main course, Rush River Wisconsin trout pleases fish-longing palates and then quells grouchy tummies with green beans and smoky tomato compote ($21). Those dropping in for lunch to avoid their boss' auto-tuned yodeling of the quarterly profits can happily munch on the vegetarian panini ($10) or the peppercorn blue burger, bursting with Wisconsin blue cheese, crispy onion strings, and creamy horseradish ($12).

Kil@Wat’s clean and classy dining room bustles with a red-orange color palate and white-tablecloth booths. Between the energetic ambiance and always-courteous wait staff, you’ll find an evening at Kil@Wat to be as elegant as a European bistro and as electric as Zeus’ disco night. Reservations are recommended.

More than 150 OpenTable reviewers give Kil@Wat an average of 4.3 stars. TripAdvisors give it an average of four owl eyes, and Yelpers give it an average of four stars:

  • The atmosphere was great: Modern but not cold, with the skyline in the background. The food was good and just what we were looking for - upscale comfort food. It was familiar but had a twist with a different ingredient here and there, which was nice because it made the food refreshing. – an OpenTable reviewer who dined on 9/27/2010
  • This is a great place for a fancy lunch or a celebration dinner. The modern, clean lines of the restaurant give it a fresh feeling. – Kathy G., Yelp

About Kil@Wat

From their vantage point inside the InterContinental Milwaukee Hotel, diners at Kil@Wat can treat themselves to panoramic vistas of the city, including the bright lights of the neighboring Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Inside the kitchen, chefs use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible to craft elegant meals fit for the awe-inspiring views. This focus on freshness and seasonality translates to a menu of upscale American comfort dishes such as pan-roasted whitefish from Lake Superior and braised short ribs with roasted garlic mash and wild mushroom jus. A staff pastry chef puts her own inventive twist on dessert, concocting delicacies such as peanut-butter-and-chocolate cheesecake with pretzel bark for an added crunch.

These gourmet morsels unite with the restaurant’s elegant décor to forge a luxurious, memorable dining experience. Vibrant chartreuse accents compliment orange suede chairs and crisp white tablecloths. Large light boxes cast a soft glow over people as they sip wine from the extensive list or pose as window washers to get in without a reservation.
