Laredo's Tex-Mex Cafe
A visit to Laredo's Tex-Mex Cafe is a visit into the culinary history of Seabrook. The eatery, established in 1969, is the first and oldest Mexican restaurant in the town, responsible for introducing residents to family recipes from both sides of the border. One of those recipes: Teresita's Favorite, a medley of charbroiled chicken, chili con queso, and sauteed veggies served up with rice, beans, and tortillas. This house specialty mingles with many other tasty offerings, including spinach enchiladas, beef fajitas, and carne guisada tacos stuffed with simmered chunks of beef. Another menu highlight is the From the Gulf section, which showcases plucked-from-the-water entrees in the form of marinated red snapper filet and sauteed garlic shrimp.
