Family-owned Lasher's serves up fine American fare, such as steaks, chops, and seafood, in a cozy setting. Begin a meal with a round of cocktails or selection from the prolific wine list and an order of fried green tomatoes topped with Andouille sausage and creamy Cajun butter sauce ($9). Decline a knife and sink serrated teeth into a 10 oz. bistro-cut New York pepper steak ($33) or double-cut pork chop dressed in cinnamon apple glaze ($26), which both come flanked by Yukon gold mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. House specialties such as cranberry-glazed meatloaf ($19) and Louisiana linguini loaded with jumbo shrimp, scallops, and clams ($31) round out the offerings, ensuring stomach-trunks can be filled to the brim with culinary-winter jackets.
Housed in a fully renovated 1920s Craftsman-style bungalow, Lasher's offers a cozy setting with an expansive porch and a 50,000-square-foot dome that produces it's own weather patterns. Full brunch is served on Sundays. Reservations are required.
