Many Greek myths follow the same plot arc—character does something stupid, character dies in lesson-teaching manner. The Grecian myth surrounding today’s deal is the exact opposite—character does something smart, character builds successful pack of lesson-teaching restaurants. Sample mythological goodness by biting into today’s Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of Greek eats and drinks at Louis Pappas Market Cafe. Buy from the link above corresponding to your most convenient location, as your Groupon is only valid at that location.
Louis Pappas represents the culmination of more than 80 years of family experience in the restaurant business. The current Louis incarnation of the Pappas family uses his rich family heritage to concoct dishes made swiftly but never hastily. Each is created with a gentlemanly nod to tradition by borrowing from century-old recipes, hand-approved by Hermes, or at least a guy wearing a helmet. Dishes are all made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients, but the quick turnaround on orders appeases even short attention spans acquired from viral YouTube diseases.
Start with one of Louis Pappas’s famous Greek salads, which top a base of potato salad with shredded lettuce and all the mix-ins ($8.49). Equip your longing hands with signature sandwiches such as the gyro ($7.29) or chicken souvlaki ($7.29). The menu also offer flaky flatbread pizzas such as the Olympian, topped with gyro meat, portabellas, onions, peppers, and cheese ($7.99). Order up a larger entree to fill Herculean bellies. The tasty pita platter comes with your choice of meat with a pita and all the fixings ($8.59). Or grab the tasty mousaka (roasted eggplant with ground beef, topped with yogurt béchamel and marinara, $8.79).
Yelpers give Louis Pappas Market Cafe a solid 3.5 stars, while TripAdvisors give it four owl eyes. Eighty-five percent of Urbanspooners recommend the eatery: > * The Market Cafe is a touch of the old days, melded with updated cuisine, as well. The chopped Greek salad is wonderful and don’t miss the grape leaves. – GallopingGal08, TripAdvisor > * Excellent food at a reasonable price, with quick service even though they were busy. Everything tasted very fresh. Definitely a thumbs up. – Kemoo, TripAdvisor > * Great food at all the locations I been too, which is over 3 of them.
