According to most restaurant critics, the perfect Greek meal is served on a plate, which rests on a table with legs. Try some authentic Greek cuisine the way it was meant to be served with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of Greek eats and drinks at Louis Pappas Market Cafe. Choose from four locations:

Louis Pappas represents the culmination of more than 80 years of family experience in the restaurant business. The current Louis incarnation of the Pappas family uses his rich family heritage to concoct dishes made swiftly but never hastily. Each is created with a gentlemanly nod to tradition by borrowing from century-old recipes, hand-approved by Hermes. Dishes are all made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients, but the quick turnaround on orders appeases even short attention spans acquired from viral YouTube diseases.

Start with one of Louis Pappas's famous Greek salads, which top a base of potato salad with shredded lettuce and all the mix-ins ($8.99, large). Equip your longing hands with pitas and signature sandwiches such as the gyro ($6.29) or Tuscan chicken ($6.29). The menu also offer flaky flatbread pizzas such as the Spartan, topped with a roasted garlic feta spread, grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, onions, and peppers ($7.99). Order up a larger entree to fill bellies that have been stretched out after years of consuming cinderblocks. The tasty pita platter comes with your choice of meat with a pita and all the fixings ($8.59). Or grab the mousaka (roasted eggplant with ground beef, topped with yogurt béchamel and marinara, $8.79).

About Louis Pappas Market Cafe

During World War I, Greek immigrant Louis Pappas served in the Army as a personal chef to General John Pershing. To give the hungry general some extra nutrition, Louis began adding scoops of potato salad to his traditional greek salads. When Louis returned to the United States, he opened up his own restaurant, Louis Pappas Riverside Café, where he would re-create this signature dish using fresh produce from his own ranch in Tarpon Springs.

Today, Louis Pappas's grandson continues his grandfather's old Florida family tradition at Louis Pappas Fresh Greek (formerly Louis Pappas Market Café). There, he and his kitchen serve up a new menu of healthy dishes prepared with local produce and all-natural meats. They continue to scoop savory housemade potato salad into their internationally renowned Louis Pappas Famous greek salad, tossing it in massive bowls that serve as many as four diners.
