Running is more fun if you do it in a group, much like grabbing a torch and burning down a monster's house. Let the crowd move you with this Groupon.

Mad Dash to Midnight Glow Run
At exactly 11:14 p.m. on New Year's Eve, the Mad Dash to Midnight Glow Run Resolution 5K starts. Like its sister mile run, the 5K covers the terrain around Northgate Mall—but for the evening, the shopping center looks more like a discotheque. The race organizers bedeck the course with glow-in-the-dark decorations, which add a celebratory feel to the proceedings, unlike a disco ball that drops at random on somebody's head. In keeping with the theme, runners sport glow-in-the-dark gear, too, and gather into a radiant crowd to ring in the New Year at the finish line.
Titanium Racing is a premiere event production company with a mission to inspire the Bay Area to get up and running. A little color makes everything better; that goes double for 5K races. That's the philosophy behind The Color Stride 5K, a national series of races that leave clouds of chromatic dust in their wakes. Outfitted in white clothing, runners set off from the starting line as blank slates, but that soon changes; along the route, they'll get blasted with handfuls of safe, non-toxic color powder, which turns their once-pristine outfits into abstract portraits of their pets. The races are certainly fun, but that's not all they are—each event partners with a community charity or nonprofit, raising funds and awareness for a good cause.
