I've been going to the restorative qigong regularly (twice per week). The classes are small and the teaching is very detailed. By the time I had finished my groupon, I had a routine that I could practice on my own every day. My body got stronger and my energy more consistent in the space of 1 month.
I signed up to stay on the course after the groupon had finished. I feel this is a mark of an excellent deal. One that you feel happy to invest in afterwards.
It's rare in Manhattan to find a class with such excellent, consistent teaching that deeply impacts your life on many levels. The teacher, Veronica, obviously cares deeply about teaching and how you practice. When you find a class like this, it's worth sticking to. I've literally rearranged my work schedule around this class because it's something that is worth being part of. If you are considering qigong (or any of the other classes here), I highly recommend it.
This is the best place to get an introduction to the art. Classes are small enough that you get personal attention. The qui gong class will clear your mind and body and have you feeling amazing. There is a real respectful and focused vibe here. Really nice group of people.

About Manhattan Shaolin Kungfu & Qigong
Over the course of a millennium and a half, the tradition of Shaolin Kung Fu has sojourned from the foot of Shaoshi Mountain to modern-day New York. The mindful martial art—equal parts meditation and physical training—crossed the ocean and is now taught by disciples of Master Guolin, a 34th-generation master.
Students can learn Shaolin kung-fu—a discipline that grew out of buddhism; traditional kung fu, which focuses more on physical stamina and strength; and Qigong, a form of wellness-building using deep breathing along with different postures, developed in Shaolin monasteries. Even people who have never stepped foot in a dojo or formed an opinion about who would win in a fight between Bruce Lee and Kung Fu Panda can feel at home here. Trainers start at the beginning, and ease students in by practicing basic forms. They slowly introduce more techniques, weapon forms, and meditations into the training, all while transforming neophytes into steel-cut martial artists.
