Very helpful with my gluten intolerance - they did not have any menu items deemed gluten free but I talked to them about my intolerance and they were VERY helpful to prepare a meal for me that was entirely gluten free. Staff was very friendly and the food was delicious!

What You'll Get

The traditional method for preparing sushi requires slices of raw fish to be held over unlit fires in order to secure that signature “uncooked” flavor. Explore such innovative foodsmithing with today’s Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of fare at Narita Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Plainfield.

Narita's lunch and dinner menus offer a vast array of classic Japanese cuisine. Snag an appetizing catch with chopstick lures, and nosh on dinner entrees such as the Hibachi jumbo shrimp ($14) or tofu teriyaki ($10)—both served with steamed or fired rice, sautéed vegetables, and a soup or salad. Prime palates for a delectable dining experience that doesn’t take place in deranged dada dream worlds, with appetizers such as the rock shrimp ($6) or crispy soft shell crab ($7.50). After starting off the day by downing an egg-yolk cocktail and pummeling frozen beef in a freezer, stay consistent by sampling a variety of expertly prepared raw sushi options. Opt for a delectable maki roll such as the Florida with red snapper, mayo, and scallion ($4.95), or fling fistfuls of Narita specialty rolls into your kisser, such as the kamikaze ($8.25), which is a tongue-tingling choice twined with eel, tuna, avocado, and spicy mayo.

Stop in to Narita to soak in the relaxing ambiance and enjoy attentive service, while focusing intensely on the sleek décor, comfy booths, and soft lighting. Like ice fishing, Narita exposes patrons to the fun of raw seafood, all without the hassle of drilling holes in the floor with a hand auger, or taking a manly dip in frosty waters with Uncle Bob.
