The Hawaiian Islands shaped some of the world's most ancient civilizations, who gathered by the shore to dive for the delicious mahimahi, coconuts, and grilled pineapple growing beneath its crystal waves. Transport yourself to this legendary culinary region with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of food and drink at Noho's Hawaiian Cafe. This Groupon is only valid for dine-in redemption at the Portland location on S.E. Clinton Street.

Feel the Pacific breeze wafting scents of sustenance over the noses of forks with the authentic island eats of Noho’s Hawaiian Café. Appetizers include Korean ribs ($13.35) and 20 sautéed shrimp ($12.35), welcoming diners like delicious leis draped on taste buds. Meaty main courses run the gastronomic gamut from thinly sliced teriyaki pork ($8.35 for a small order) and pan-fried Korean chicken ($10.40 for a small order) to stir-fried butterfly shrimp ($13.35) and the Loco Moco ($10.35), featuring two hamburger patties topped with fried egg, macaroni salad, and gravy. Leaf lovers and slurping superstars can fill up on flavorful helpings of yakisoba noodles ($12.85)—a pile of slick strings topped with crisp vegetables and drizzled in sweet or hot garlic sauce—and wash down the wave of deliciousness with a refreshing glass of passion-orange or guava juice ($1 each) before the riptide of joy overtakes the mind and washes away Florida.

When selecting and preparing his many recipes, storied owner and lead chef Noho calls upon his eclectic upbringing. Of Hawaiian, Italian, and Portuguese heritage, Noho grew up on Maui, surrounded by Hawaiian ranch hands with a hankering for hospitality. Today, Noho's inspired plates light up the faces of Portland mainlanders, island natives, and the occasional school of fastidious mermen. Call up your favorite grass-skirted hood ornament and see what Noho's Hawaiian Cafe has to offer. No reservations are required.

Warm aloha and feeling of Ohana

I've been there about a half a dozen times. The meat is usually good, but on occasion it has been tough. The teriyaki chicken is always tender (and even when the beef is tough, it is still delicious!)
