What You'll Get
Originally a still-life art form, boudoir photography switched to human subjects when clothiers stopped making apple-size garter belts. Bite the fruits of seduction this Valentine’s Day with today’s Groupon: for $79, you get an in-home boudoir photo package from Oh! Snap! Photography (a $175 value). The package includes the following:
- A one-hour, in-home photo shoot with unlimited wardrobe changes
- A CD of 10 retouched photos with full printing rights
With an idiosyncratic eye and an upbeat demeanor, Oh! Snap! Photography’s Ailecia Ruscin snaps up everything from boudoir attitudinizing to indie concerts and weddings. During the one-hour shoot, Ailecia joins solo ladies in their homes and snaps photos while clients whirl through as many wardrobe changes and provocative pronunciations of “cheese” as they like. Though the photographer brings a selection of props, she encourages clients to supply their own flair in order to best unleash their attitude. After the shoot, clients can proof the photos on a password-protected online gallery. Ailecia professionally edits and color-tones 10 digital images before cramming them and a few outtakes onto a CD dunked in perfume.

About Oh! Snap! Photography
With an idiosyncratic eye and an upbeat demeanor, Oh! Snap! Photography's Ailecia Ruscin snaps everything from boudoir attitudinizing to indie concerts. When she isn’t snapping shots of crowd surfers or hiding behind altars to capture creative wedding photos, her mobile studio travels to homes, backyards, and public parks throughout Lawrence and the surrounding areas.
Even during portraiture sessions, Ailecia has a documentarian’s knack for blending into the background and allowing the discreet vitalities of her subjects to surface. Her photography relies on natural light and unforced facial expressions—both of which add to the sense that the camera has merely snuck up on, rather than orchestrated, a precious moment. The results can be viewed almost immediately after each shoot on Ailecia’s website, where online galleries and print-purchasing features assist subjects in ordering large prints to mail to friends and wallet-size photos to fashion into dangly earrings.
