Sometimes our dreams are within reach, but more often, those dreams are on the highest of high shelves, beside the BB gun and the cupcakes "for tomorrow." Reach that shelf with today's Groupon to stretch your muscles and muscle your stretches into a five-session stretch of intense muscular moves. For $35, you'll get five yoga classes at Quiet Mind Yoga (a $75 value).
Yoga will enhance your strength, flexibility, and posture—all necessary to fulfilling your New Year's resolution of breaking into more museums. Downward- and upward-dog it through a security system grid of lasers to draw another mustache on the Mona Lisa or practice corpse pose to evade 2011's forecast for lethal lasers. Quiet Mind Yoga offers classes for all levels, including a restorative class that teaches active relaxation to focus your mind and body for restful sleep. Classes are conveniently offered in the evenings (some days as late as 8 p.m.) and early mornings (most Tuesdays and Thursdays feature a 6:30 a.m. class), so you can stop in on your way to or from the laser mines, as well as late morning (around 9 a.m. or 10 a.m.) on weekends. Check out Quiet Mind Yoga's schedule for specific class dates and times.

Quiet Mind Yoga
Driven to share her passion for yoga with others, Quiet Mind Yoga’s director Rita Maximilian left her career in business development and education-policy reform to become a yoga instructor. She and her dedicated instructors guide students of all fitness levels through a variety of yoga classes—with a focus on the Iyengar and Ashtanga practices—at Columbia Heights’s first yoga studio. They help newcomers build a foundation for their practice during beginner sessions by walking pupils through standing and seated postures, and challenge more advanced students in intermediate-level Vinyasa classes that connect postures with athletic transitional movements, culminating in the secret yogi handshake. As a member of Live Green, Quiet Mind Yoga's studio provides environmentally friendly props, mats, and blankets to help students enhance their yoga practice while giving Mother Nature the day off.
