A Chat with Rebecca Bokoch, Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
I specialize in working with parent-child relationships, from infancy to young adulthood. I incorporate creative therapeutic modalities into all of my cases, including: art, play, and meditation. Expressive arts therapies help to give children and adults a voice, when it is difficult to verbalize.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Working with children and families in schools as a school-based counselor inspired me to develop my own practice that is more accessible for families with working parents. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, and that everyone should have access to services that suit their schedule.
What do you love most about your job?
I love creating a safe and nurturing environment for clients. This space allows clients to separate themselves from their problems, realize their own strengths and supports, and rewrite their life story to one that they want to be living.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
"You have such a wonderful aura about you." "I feel like you are someone that I can tell anything and not feel judged by." "You have helped my boys so much. I am so thankful for your work." "You have saved my relationship with my daughter. I don't know what we would have done without you."
