What You'll Get
Adding water results in less-floury biscuits, larger foam dinosaurs, and slides that won't give a shirtless cousin friction-burn. Douse yourself in smooth-moving good times with today's Groupon to Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in New Braunfels. You'll get to choose between the following dates:
- For $27, you will receive admission and a souvenir cup on August 22nd ($54.10/adult, $45.44/child or senior).
- For $27, you will receive admission and a souvenir cup on August 28th ($54.10/adult, $45.44/child or senior).
Schlitterbahn only closes in the event of lightning or severe weather, and if there are full closures on the dates above, Schlitterbahn will provide alternative dates.
Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort's 65 acres contain miles of tubing adventures, seven kid-friendly water playgrounds, 17 thrilling water slides, a gnarly surfing machine, and three physics-defying uphill water coasters—making the enormous water park almost as much fun as most fire parks. While not formally recognized by the UN, the nation-state of Schlitterbahn is divided into three sovereign sections of attractions, with free shuttles regularly escorting swimsuited diplomats across the borders. The territory of Blastenhoff is heavily irrigated with wave pools, a Kinderhaven wading center, and high-thrill water slides such as the Black Knight Tunnel, which launches a pair of riders down a terrifying tube trip through total darkness. For West Coast–style waves, head to Surfenburg and tackle the Boogie Bahn surfing ride—a 50,000-gallon pool where the most righteous of dudes and dudettes can body-board surf on endlessly moving mountains of water. Surfenburg is also home to the special-effects-laden Dragon's Revenge, a family thrill ride that combines eight uphill blasts, six eerie caverns, a two-story freefall, and a vengeful dragon who (according to the staff) used to be really cool, but has been a jerk ever since he got promoted.
Now that the water-wall has been torn down between east and west Schlitterbahn, families can pass freely through the checkpoints to Schlitterbahn West, which hosts three steamy hot tubs with swim-up refreshment bars, four children's areas, the atmospheric Congo River Expedition, and thrill rides such as Der Bahn speed slides. Otherwise, race dastardly silent-movie villains down the Downhill Racer or take a long, 45-minute float down Raging River Tube Chute, claimed to be the longest tube chute in the world. Park-goers are allowed to bring picnic lunches, provided there is no glass or alcohol. Due to the park's sheer ginormity, Schlitterbahn encourages you to plan your trip ahead of time so that you can achieve the human body's maximum dosage of aquatic adrenaline.
