Like a bubble bath, beer is frothy, aromatic, and livelier when enjoyed in public. Take a sudsy plunge with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of pub fare and drinks at Summits Wayside Tavern. Your Groupon may be used at one of Summits' three locations in Cumming, Snellville, or Woodstock.
Summits Wayside Tavern liberates its patrons from colorless cuisine and boring brews, serving a mouthwatering menu of classic eats alongside a Rate Beer¬–approved array of 150 draft and 500 bottled beers. Adventurers with bold taste buds can start by scaling the Onion Mountain ($5.99), a tasty mass of beer-battered rings. Move on to lighter entrees such as the thai chicken salad tossed with spicy peanut dressing ($7.99), or throw herbaceous caution to the ceiling fan and sample the Kenmore burger ($8.99), a half-pound patty smothered with sautéed mushrooms and bacon. The magnanimous tap line has poured brews including Sweetwater Dank Tank, Dogfish Head 90 Min IPA, and the Brooklyn Chocolate Stout during the past two months, which have all earned "A-" ratings from Beer Advocate and gold stars from their primary-school teachers.
Despite its impressive array of adult beverages, Summits prides itself on its family-friendly atmosphere. Each location hosts a handful of events and all-ages gatherings each month, and their roomy interiors provide an ideal destination for large groups looking to watch the game or engage in friendly bouts of indoor leapfrog.
