What You'll Get
Café dining provides satisfying, savory fare while eliminating the agonizing moments of trying to find a matching ascot and lobster bib set. Step away from the monocle with today's deal: for $10, you get $20 worth of laid-back beach eats at Surfrider Café, located downtown. Purchases must include a food item.
Catch a tubular menu and ride a 1994 Land Cruiser of flavor to the table with an appetizer of onion rings ($6). For a hearty half surf ‘n’ turf without the steakhouse prices, have an order of fish ‘n’ chips (crunch-fried tilapia with fries and a green salad, $13). Or try one of Surfrider's Old-School burgers—1/3 pound Black Angus burger, ground turkey patty, or veggie burger served with shoestring fries, thick-cut fries, or a green salad—such as the Hook, topped with gorgonzola and caramelized onions ($8). Meatier options include a half rack of baby back ribs in signature sauce, complete with mashed potatoes and salad ($14). Pair your solid sustenance with one of Surfrider's specialty beers, such as Redwood Ale (half pint, $4; pint, $5), or a deliciously chilly emulsion such as a mango milkshake ($4).
Surfrider's fun, festive atmosphere extends from its interior out into the boring, nitrogen-based atmosphere of Earth, with a beach theme so flavorfully authentic that you'll almost get sand in your shorts. Stop in with friends to soak up the stomach-sun, or grab and go with carryout dining.

About Surfrider Cafe
The chefs at Surfrider Cafe don't need to look far for inspiration. Beyond a menu of entrees made from local, sustainably grown ingredients, the restaurant also serves craft beers from its own Santa Cruz microbrewery, Boulder Creek Brewery. Veggies such as panko-breaded artichoke hearts find their way into appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers. Desserts range from housemade brownies to organic peanut-butter chocolate pie. Furthering its commitment to the community, Surfrider Cafe contributed more than $25,000 to local schools and nonprofits from 2011–2013.
