Children are full of energy, which is why they love to run around and are often named after local coal plants. Watch little Municipal Plant 7 burn off some steam with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $15 for a punch card good for three pony rides (a $30 value)
- $15 for an Exotic Animal Adventure or a Mini-Riders Mommy and Me class for one child (a $30 value)
On a pony ride, children ages 2–10 climb aboard a horse or pony to take three laps around the ring Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the 50-minute Exotic Animal Adventure, kids ages 1–6 can feed, groom, and help care for barnyard and exotic animals, including a kangaroo, emu, deer, miniature horses, goats, ferrets, guinea pigs, bunnies, even a huge tortoise. Alternately, the 45-minute Mini-Riders Mommy and Me class teaches kids ages 1–6 how to handle and groom a miniature horse; they’ll also get a chance to ride the pintsize steed in a small enclosure and meet rabbits, chinchillas, and gerbils inside the air-conditioned barn.
Sweet Meadow Farm is not just a kid-friendly equestrian center. Sure, their experienced instructors lead private and group horseback-riding lessons year-round, but the farm also houses an interactive barnyard zoo. Their menagerie of domestic and exotic animals ranges from miniature horses and potbelly pigs to peacocks and even a kangaroo. Sweet Meadow Farm hosts birthday parties, too, during which kids can meet new critter friends inside the air-conditioned or heated barn and make up secret handshakes that do not require opposable thumbs.
