After a one-hour lecture, an organic vegetable lasagna tasting, and viewing of an educational video, Culinary Institute of America graduate Andrew Bennardo leads students through a hands-on juicing lesson. Examples of juicing results can be seen at Andrew Bennardo's other venture, Juiceateria, and samples of fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies are provided.
Classes also aim to teach students how to adopt a whole-food, plant-based diet. Recommended foods are free of preservatives, artificial flavorings, and added sugars. The raw diet can be tailored to be gluten, soy, dairy, and/or MSG free. Classes take place on Sundays at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
