A cocktail is like sand art: colorful, full of interesting mixtures, and fun to make with kids. Tap into tasty Technicolor transcendence with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of fresh, seasonal fare and drinks at the Drawing Room in the Gold Coast.

The Drawing Room makes its entire menu of classic and contemporary cocktails ($12 each) using fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets and vendors. Savor the alcoholic alchemy of the Drawing Room's chief mixologist Charles Joly with the Drawing Room Manhattan, composed of Templeton rye whiskey and the Italian vermouth Punt e Mes. Nostalgic flappers and insufferable know-it-alls alike will enjoy having the Last Word, a Prohibition-era potable with gin and Chartreuse. The Horse Thief's interplay of Hayman's Old Tom gin and Punt e Mes, on the other hand, will likely get your posse in the mood for other old-timey crimes, such as cattle tickling, powdered-wig embezzlement, parson arson, and whistling on the Sabbath. In addition to these classic concoctions, the Drawing Room also serves up a host of colorfully named original cocktails (One Night in Rio, The Nooner, Off with Her Head), all of which spring from the maraschino-scented minds of the restaurant's master bartenders.

Much like its debonair distillates, the Drawing Room's seasonally changing kitchen menu, crafted by chef Nick Lacasse, uses only the freshest ingredients to enlighten palates to a nourishing nirvana. Split an appetizer of spicy tuna tartare ($15) with avocado, tempura, and spicy sesame sauce before partaking of the North Shore Chicken ($23) with rhubarb and carrots, or the polenta ($19) with asparagus and oyster mushrooms. One Groupon can be used per table, so gather all your top suspects and reveal that someone at this table…is a murderer…right after just one more round of luxurious libations at the Drawing Room.
