On February 20, March 27, and May 1, The West End will open up their kitchen and dining room to a guest chef and a brewmaster from a local brewery. The chef will design a five-course menu inspired by beers chosen by the brewmaster. Seating for each event will begin at 7 p.m.<p>
The West End
A traditional English pub is usually a warm, neighborly spot for a bite. Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, on the other hand, is a cold, disturbing look into the world of overly theatrical eye makeup. Nonetheless, The West End's decor draws inspiration from both, blending classic pub elements, such as steer horns sitting atop an old piano, with modern Kubrickian flourishes, such as a row of bowler hats dangling ominously from hooks on the wall.
Like the pub itself, The West End's menu revolves around British classics such as wild-boar bangers ‘n’ mash and a shepherd's pie chock full of braised beef and field peas. The Texas Big Dog, meanwhile, pays homage to the bar's American location with a three-quarter-pound frank crowned with chili and pickled relish. Guests can enjoy these expertly crafted bar bites inside or on the expansive outdoor patio, which can accommodate up to 400 guests.
