Just went to my first class & can't wait to go back! Wonderful & welcoming studio.
They said on the website new comers should email them to register or text, however I emailed them several months ago never got reply and I texted them last month still receive nothing. So I just pumped up to the class and it worked....
I bought 20 classes and it expires soon now, since I wasted several months waiting for their reply
This place has a very intimate and private feeling. It is tiny and has only one bathroom/changing space. The studio has no parking lot, either. The inconvenience aside, the instructor is extremely knowledgeable and gives tons of detailed information to consider. I had the best experience and couldn't wait to try more. Reading the class descriptions, it also seems like the studio offers a variety of types of classes that cater to your specific needs which is very different from the one-size-fits-all approach that some studios do. But I have to try more until I can comment. Overall, love it <3.
Wonderful lessons, challenging at the right point. I tried many lessons and I always enjoyed, so glad that I choose the 20 lessons package.
I'm new to yoga and had a great experience!
Good instructors, but the space is not a yoga studio. It's just a pretty small room, as in with 7'6" ceilings. I'm 6'1"and couldn't raise my arms in a sun salutation. Won't matter to some but if you're tall, you'll be hitting the ceiling in this space. not ideal.
Also, no foyer space - meaning that if you're there more than 8 minutes early and there happens to be a class before you, you stand in the parking lot and wait for the door to be unlocked. Otherwise, class was "just ok"
I had never done yoga before trying out The Yoga Republic with a 20 class Groupon. The instructors are great with beginners, and the studio is very alignment focused which is good for those of us who have no idea of what we're doing. There are a range of classes for every skill level which is really nice. I liked the classes so much I bough a package with them after I used my Groupon. The only downsides are that there is only one "roots" beginners class (though there are many classes beginners can go to, the roots class breaks down the poses more which is helpful). Luckily the day and time worked with my schedule, so that was not a problem for me, but something for others to consider. The other downside is that the studio is small, and does sometimes get pretty packed. However, I understand they are working on getting a second location so they will have more space.
Overall I would highly recommend this studio for beginners (there are a lot of experienced students that go to this studio as well, but I can only speak to my experience as a beginner). I have learned a lot in a short time, and have noticed significant imporvents in my physical and mental health as well. Very glad I decided to give this studio a try!
