What You'll Get
The dimples on a golf ball help it fly farther with greater accuracy, just like the dimples on a baby help it steal candy from gullible strangers. Find your adorably sporty sweet spots with today's Groupon; for $79, you get a one-hour private lesson with a golf pro (a $120 value), a video analysis with take-home copy (a $30 value), a large bucket of range balls (an $11 value), and a round of play on the nine-hole golf course (a $15 value) at Twin Brook Golf Academy in Tinton Falls (a $176 total value).
Twin Brook Golf Academy's team of professional instructors, led by Class A PGA Golf Professional Jim Woods, fixes golfers' swings using video analysis and computer training systems. During the one-on-one lesson, a golf pro summons the SwingView Pro to provide frame-by-frame video analysis of your swing, allowing the golf pro to discover any hiccups that prevent you from putting accurately, driving with control, and pitching with plenty of pitch. To complement the video breakdown, instructors incorporate the K-Vest, which provides detailed info on your swing problems based on analyzing the point at which you strike the ball, and the TOMI putting system, which tests how far you can putt a watermelon. Students are also given a copy of their analysis, which they can bring home to review and staple to their refrigerator.
After the private lesson, head to the dual-level driving range, which was selected as one of the Top 100 Ranges in America by Golf Range Magazine and the third-best place to have a wedding by National Geographic. The range's heated stalls can help you warm up before taking on the nine-hole par 3 course.
