What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
For over 25 years, we have offered karate instruction in Meriden, Plantsville, and Berlin. We work to instill valuable skills that will serve them well throughout the course of their lives. At our school, nobody sits on the bench.
What’s one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Whether you’re young or young at heart, it’s never too late to begin mastering martial arts. Classes begin at the age of 3 at Valentin, with programs extending to teen and adult students. As our students’ skills grow, we offer advanced and leadership level instruction.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Our staff at Valentin karate currently includes 12 talented and qualified instructors in the ancient Tang Soo Do tradition. The Grandmaster of Tang Soo Do, Robert E. Beaudoin, certifies our masters and instructors, and our establishment is certified in the World Tang Soo Do Association.
What do you love most about your job?
To provide young children with the positive influence of the martial arts. This is a total learning activity that stresses the development of values and character. We pledge to help young people learn patience, concentration, humility, self-discipline, self-control, and respect.
