Highlights

Phillips Cruises and Tours offers a unique and memorable way to view the beauty of the glaciers and wildlife of Prince William Sound in a pristine wilderness area. Conditions change daily due to weather, ice flows, and wildlife activity so our captains adapt to these changing conditions to provide the best cruise experience while keeping your safety and comfort a top priority. The crew is attentive throughout the cruise ensuring that your time with us is an enjoyable memory and a favorite highlight of your Alaska vacation.

Our tours are operated on first-class catamarans. Due to their dual hull design, these powerful high-speed catamarans are extremely stable and able to smoothly navigate through the narrow fjords and passages that lead us to the face of massive glaciers. By operating safely and efficiently, Phillips provides a comfortable cruise and our No Seasickness Guarantee assures nervous cruisers the confidence that they will enjoy our cruise without any unpleasant effects.

This was our second time taking the 26 Glacier Tour, and it was again excellent. Prince William Sound is calm, so motion sickness is not an issue. We had a glorious, clear day and thoroughly enjoyed taking far too many pictures of the glaciers and surrounding mountain tops. The captain's descriptions mixed with stories about the area's history made the trip even more enjoyable. The staff were all helpful and friendly. If we make it back at Alaska, we'll take this cruise again.

Overall this boat tour was amazing! The ride was incredibly smooth and had no problem walking around the boat at all. Our tour had only 120 people on it on Monday May 16th and they said they can hold 300 people. What I really liked: -Smooth boarding process in groups as to not have a long line waiting on the gangway -assigned seating. We were at a 4 person table with another couple and had a great view the entire trip -comfortable seating: this was no hard plastic bench seat. This was a cushioned top and bottom individual seat at each table. So comfortable I didn’t even want to get up -bathrooms: very clean and plenty on board the ship -meal: wow oh wow. I didn’t believe we were going to get all that we did. The salmon chowder was amazing as was the coleslaw. The food came quickly almost immediately after sailing out of the sound. And it was in compostable containers! And chocolate chip cookies for desert in the afternoon! -they re-use the boarding passes and meal tickets. They are like a hotel key card and they re use then each cruise. Loved that! -glacier viewing: we were able to get up close to some of the glaciers and even saw an avalanche as well as some calving of the glaciers. If you are worried about the cold. You can easily see everything from inside the boat since the captain spins the boat around at each stop so everyone gets a view -narration: awesome history and the captain was great to listen to -wildlife spotted: sea lions, sea otters, bald eagle, porpoise, mountain goat. The captain was so great about stopping the boat if we saw wildlife and spinning the boat around so everyone could see. This was the only boat cruise our entire trip in Alaska (other than our cruise on royal Caribbean) and I don’t think you need another. We saw mountains and glaciers and wildlife and it was an incredibly comfortable and smooth experience.
