Before ice cream, cones were only filled with cheerleading chants and an overwhelming sense of responsibility for organizing traffic. Enjoy a conical dessert with today’s Groupon: for $7, you get $15 worth of ice-cream treats at Vienna Ice Cafe.

Vienna Ice Cafe owners Anand and Doris Saha use the same ingredients and confections handmade at their popular Mozart’s Cafe to craft a menu of gourmet, European-style ice cream, stacked sundaes, and intricate layered cakes. Topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, the Vienna ice coffee ($6) offers a decadent java jolt. Pistachio-almond and hazelnut gelato fight the age-old battle for dairy dominance with Vienna’s large cast of ice-cream characters, such as coffee kahlua and key-lime pie ($2–$3). Patrons can also lick frozen fruit without fear of a stuck tongue by opting for a dairy-free lemon-and-green-apple sorbet.

Dress ice-cream scoops in their sundae best with the peach-melba sundae—sliced peaches reclining on soft pillows of vanilla ice cream blanketed in sweet raspberry sauce ($6). Vienna also whips up a slew of ice-cream cakes, rolls, and gelato-infused dessert bars, serving up to 10 individuals or two sets of sugar-starved quintuplets.

Intricate notes emanating from a nearby baby grand piano. Steam rising off a teacup as it sits on a delicate saucer. Signs of old-world elegance permeate every corner of Mozart's Bakery and Piano Cafe as fresh red roses decorate the tables, and owners Anand and Doris Saha wouldn't have it any other way.

For over two decades, Mozart’s has brought the rich flavors and ambiance of Austria’s centuries-old café tradition to Columbus. From decadent pastries to savory entrees, their European-trained chefs offer guests a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. In addition, an afternoon tea service is complemented by decadent handcrafted desserts. Guests can visit the historic Clintonville location, winners of various awards, to enjoy a relaxing meal accompanied by live classical music.
