Like parks and displays of affection, television and radio are much better when they're public. Show your support to all passersby with today's Groupon: for $30, you get a one-year membership and a two-for-one discount MemberCard from WFYI Indianapolis (an $80 value).
For more than 40 years, WFYI Indianapolis has brought quality programming to eyeballs and eardrums through public television and radio stations. Supportive members receive a slew of membership benefits, including a subscription to WFYI Members' Magazine and a MemberCard that grants two-for-one discounts at local restaurants, museums, concerts, attractions, and cloning labs. Proceeds go to fund WFYI's three television channels, which broadcast PBS programs, local productions, and educational shows, defying modern regulations that television must undo 15 minutes of schooling per hour of viewing. Portable public programming is sent out on WFYI 90.1 FM, featuring local shows such as The Art of the Matter and No Limits, and broadcasted highlights of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, as well as popular national NPR programs such as Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Car Talk.
