Thank you Checking in, I found out my father passed away from a lengthy fight with cancer til he couldn’t fight anymore I was devastated and broke out crying going to my room wann saw me crying and took the time to ask if I was okay I told him the news he gave me his condolences and prayed for me and my family and got me a water and tissues and told me if I needed anything to let him know I continued to my room I was in there for about a hour then I got a call from the front desk it was wann checking on me and asking if I needed anything I said maybe just another water, and he left one with a i’m sorry card by my door it’s small things like that why I choose Hilton over other hotels, I just want to say thank you to wann you made my trip and loss feel better not sure how many other people would have taken the time to check on me and have the patience with me.

Rude night lady Had a late check in at this Hampton inn in Abilene Texas upon arrival there was no one at the desk I had to look around for the night worker and when she finally came out of the back she had an attitude and didn't even greet me or say hello she seemed like she didn't want to be there when I asked if I could get some fresh coffee since it was cold she told me there wouldn't be any till the morning. I came down at 5am to leave town the coffee was still cold, what's the point in employing someone that doesn't want to be there or help us guest any other time I've stayed the coffee was hot and fresh and got the utmost respect and service from the black guy(sorry forgot his name) who works nights

No hospitality Stayed at this location after getting a recommendation from Michelle after a bad experience at the Fairfield inn across the parking lot, arriving at the location the lady at the front desk wasn't welcoming and seemed more worried about other things then me, the rooms were spotless comfy but a little outdated, the buffet area had crumbs and old food everywhere the floor and carpet were dirty as well the food wasn’t even warm and the breakfast cook stayed in the kitchen with the door shut or outside smoking most of the time and the food wasn’t up to par and tasted like it was sitting along time and when checking out the guy Aubrey was more worried about looking at my wife inappropriately then checking us out This was my first time staying at a Hampton after staying at Marriotts the last 10 years and I was disappointed with the staff and the buffet area I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends and family…won’t be staying here again who is the manager at this property they should really take some time with their employees about hospitality

Not the Hilton way Was passing through Abilene after driving 10 hours across country and decided to stay at the Hampton by the mall of Abilene this place needs a renovation bad haven't seen a Hampton like this since i was a kid, the decor is old the floors are broken in places. I woke up early and headed down to get some coffee which was hot and fresh I took a seat in the dining area and it was filthy there was crumbs everywhere cup rings and sticky tables when I asked the front desk if I could grab some breakfast I was told they don't start breakfast til 6 am and it was around 4:30am and all the breakfast items where already out the front desk guy apologized and said he wasn't sure why it was out so early so i waited til 6 to come back down to eat and the breakfast was barely warm when i asked the lady in the kitchen if there was any fresher breakfast coming out and she told me with a attitude she would have some coming out later and charged outside to smoke a cigarette I waited til 6:45 and there was still no hot food coming out _ I had to spend money at the IHOP across the street. We payed close to 200$ to stay there and got treated poorly by this lady I told the front desk guy and he said he would talk to his manager and gave me her card, who ever this lady in the kitchen is doesn't know what hospitality is this is not the Hilton way I hope these issues can be fixed but from reading other reviews it seems like it's been going on for a while everything else wqs great but the dining abd breakfast

Don't eat the breakfast ___ Room was clean and spotless the housekeepers are great here the new front desk guy called and checked on me around 12 am to make sure I was okay and still checking in usually they just check me in or cancel my reservation, the hotel needs a renovation or revamp the prices are too high for a unrenovated Hampton inn,the worst part of my stay was the breakfast and dinning room the breakfast tasted old like it was sitting there for hours on hours and not fresh like it used to be the new breakfast lady was unfriendly and acted like she didn't want to be there she went outside and smoke 4 times and didn't wash her hands or use gloves when picking food up or putting it out on the bar I even saw her in the kitchen area touching sausage and cookies with no gloves which is a health code violation and just nasty __ i want be eating breakfast here anymore
