Super 8 Abingdon, super place. I almost underestimated this place, until I started to feel the real hospitality in super 8 Abingdon. I met very courteous hosts, it's great spacious room, very neat and tidy, very comfortable beds, fluffy pillows. This is so good place to lodge.

Do not stay here *****CAUTION*******Very sketchy. Do not stay here. Trafficking is occurring here. We had to move rooms because the AC didn’t work, the room smelled like an ash tray of cigarettes. We got a call on the hotel phone at 4am soliciting our card info to lore me to the front desk. In the morning, the front desk said this is not the first time this has happened. The rooms were very dirty and the bed was filthy. If you are a single woman, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Hiker Haven Just poured out of Damascus on the AT. Hostels are great but every once in a while I would like my own bathroom and my own tv, and I would like to have this without breaking the bank. Wish fulfilled - Super 8 is here. Within walking to a supermarket for resupply, a buffet at Fiddlers to catch up on your needed calories, and the place is well known to Damascus veterans like “Lumpy” at Mt Roger’s Outfitters and other shuttle drivers that can get you back on the trail quickly and cheaply. Yes, this is an older property and the paint may be chipped but it’s clean and that’s a lot more than I can say for some of the hostels I have seen. Pricing is very competitive, especially if there are two of you.

Don’t Stay Here Moldy bathrooms, dirty carpet, stained bed linens, missing smoke detector in room, non-working heat/ac unit, just to mention the worst items. The outside space was not well kept, and the breakfast was very limited.

Decent place to stay Very friendly staff they were very helpful in trying to get me the lowest price for my stay. Clean rooms and outside was also clean. however they should offer some outside seating for smokers and an ashtray so people have a place to toss their cigarette butts.
