PROBABLY ALBANY'S BEST VALUE So typically when I choose a town with a motel or motor inn, I choose Best Western. However, in Albany, OR, the BW is right next door to the Rodeway Inn, and easily more than double the price. So yesterday I thought I'd check out the Rodeway Inn since it was a fast trip to the valley to get supplies (I live in Waldport on the coast.) Gotta tell you, for less than half the price of the BW, it's not half the motel......to be sure, it's a budget motel....but it has several strong points: 1) Squeaky clean, decently appointed rooms. 2) Safe and secure environment. 3) The price can't be beat....there are motels (also budget) right across I-5 in Albany that are truly "dumps" with homeless issues. The Rodeway has none of these issues. I highly recommend this place. I paid $68 plus tax, the same room next door at the BW, which isn't that much nicer in terms of rooms....was more than $160.......how much is hot breakfast worth? Went to Elmer's which is 5 minutes and had a great breakfast for under $20. Bam! I'll definitely stay at the Rodeway Inn again.

Nothing wrong with this place! Nothing wrong with this place! Better than expected for the price. Great for an overnight stop. Definitely stay here again when on the road. Staff professional and courteous. No breakfast but they do game fresh coffee on the morning. Had a good night's sleep

Much better than I remember Wehn i first started traveling in sales' used to stay here a lot. The manager and staff have always been great. As I got older, I started staying in rooms with more comfortable beds out of necessity. It had been awhile since I stayed here. With things opening back up from the restrictions, Hotels have been booked or extremely expensive. I have some property I have rented for pasture and been doing a lot of work on it. Every time I have checked local hotels, this one was sold out. Finally, this week it was available. They have remodeled the rooms and they are incredibly better. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Still the great friendly staff. I am impressed

Pleasant Stay Pleasant stay. The rooms had new carpet, new paint, new TVs and new bathroom fixtures. The sheets were new, too! A great bargain for the price, nice and quiet, even on a Saturday night. Front desk staff was kind and courteous. Would definitely stay again. Wat to go, Rodeway in Albany!

Dated, but updated We spent two nights in the Rodeway Inn Albany. Access from the freeway was quite easy. The area is reasonably quiet. The building is old, but has been updated reasonably well. I have just two suggestions for management: 1. Install brighter lights near the bed, for easier reading. 2. Install shower head extensions. Nobody likes 5-foot-high shower heads. These are minor points, that would not prevent us from returning. The room was more expensive than I thought it should be, but this might be because it was graduation weekend in nearby Corvallis, and room rates were high. I knocked down my rating one notch because of this. On the plus side, the mattress was far more comfortable than most I find on the road.
