Nice location to the highway Nice clean place with east access to and from the interstate. We were returning from the Sturgis motorcycle rally and this was a nice half way location to home. Very fairly priced with lots of parking for our 20 foot long trailer and truck. Nice breakfast bar and the staff at the desk and breakfast location were very nice and helpful.

Well…. We booked this hotel on the fly without looking at the reviews. I was hoping to be able to refute some of the other harsh reviews that we saw after-the-fact. Well…. they weren’t off-base. I’m not going to slam and say it’s absolutely revolting. It’s not. I’ve seen worse. But just to give a fair account here are our pros & cons. Pros: *A/C worked very well and it was 98 degrees outside. *The furniture, though maybe a little banged up in places, was overall nice. *Bedding appears clean and newer. *Lobby was nice *Staff were friendly *Individual reading lights on each side of bed frame. Cons: *Bathtub faucets and drain are old and have build-up that is past the point of being able to shine. Feels a little grungy. *The sink and toilet did not appear to be properly cleaned. Small hairs in the sink and on the counter. Staining in and on the toilet. *Exit door in the back didn’t lock. Was accessible from the outside by anyone. *Wiring for lighting in the upstairs hallway is exposed. *Lighting above nightstands has a layer of dust and covered in fingerprints. *Security lock on our room was just a chain lock. Again not horrible. It’s doable. But there’s better options in town.

Do not recommend The place is old, run down and dirty. I’m afraid to take a shower. I would not recommend to anyone. The front desk person was friendly though. I think I will take a pass on breakfast. There weren’t many options in this town. Guess we should have driven a bit further

Disgusting!! This place is a DUMP! The bathtub drain was plugged and you had to stand in back up water, there were no washcloths (was given a hand towel and instructed to use as wash cloth), there was left over food from previous guest in the refrigerator, the floors had not been cleaned and there were plastic room cards from another guest left under the table. While hotel breakfasts are pretty minimal (and disgusting at ttimes) this was even worse! I would not recommend this place to anyone! .. and I did tell them at the front desk when I checked out this morning.

Just not a place to stay. Sometimes you make a serious mistake not doing more research. We had one of those times today. We had a long day of driving from Wyoming. Used Priceline to book this place when we were fading from our day's travel, about an hour away from Albert Lea. We should have looked at TripAdvisor first as to why this place was 3/5 stars, an obvious red flag we missed. Upon arrival, the hotel and general area were obviously undesirable. Our room was not acceptable or fit for human habitation. Maybe it's how management here treats Priceline guests, maybe it's Covid, maybe it's staffing issues -- we simply didn't care the reasons. And we didn't hang around to quibble. Handed in our room key and kept motoring to Rochester, MN were we were thrilled with a wonderful, and well researched, hotel. Don't make our mistake, and don't book here.
