TYPICAL MARRIOTT WITH A TWIST The Pyramid Marriott just off I25 In an office park...nice setting only hotel in that area. Looked a lot like an Embassy Suites that underwent the Marriott Upgrade. The rooms shoot up 10 floors from a sizable lobby area with a bar water fountain and food service area. Large and inviting Rooms comfortable and furniture a bit dated. Beds good. Desk area with outlets galore. Typically Marriott they charge $10 for parking in a non secured lot out front. Breakfast is also $10 unless you want the full buffet which is $19. I did not indulge.. Very nice private indoor outdoor pool. Jacuzzi too but out of action. Big gym with new looking equipment. Front desk excellent. Concierge responsive and with a smile... This is an aged property with Marriott style. It's more expensive than the nearby chain hotels...but has conference facilities and business people amenities.

Outdated, deceptive, cold showers I made the reservation (for march 2021) through hotels website. This was just after the quarantine for out of state travelers was lifted but businesses were still practicing covid precautions. I had a good price through a website but the front desk claws back that savings by charging $10 for parking. IF Marriott wants to get the business from third party web sites, don't add on phony fees to claw back the cost of advertising. The clerk initially put me in a room that was used by a previous smoker. I had to move to another room. In the morning, (at 6am), there was no hot water in the shower. If you want internet, hotel will charge extra for that as well. This is an old dated property that saw better days thirty years ago. The staff will run a game on guests to get back money lost to third party websites

Subpar Marriot We stayed in a room where the air conditioner was not working well. We were so warm that we couldn't sleep. We had checked in late so didn't realize it until the middle of the night. We only slept about four hours and couldn't wait to get out in the morning. When we told the hotel clerk about it in the morning, he said they would have someone check it. It was too late for us though as we had only planned to stay one night.

Covid mania at a Marriott If you are looking for freedom from ridiculous Covid rules this isn’t your spot. Bar was “open” but you can’t sit at it and they are only serving beer. Guess Covid likes wine and mixed drinks _ Got back to the hotel after our family event to find our room hadn’t been cleaned and of course no coffee for the next morning. Called the desk and they acted real put out to have to bring us coffee. They said they weren’t cleaning rooms because of Covid. Ridiculous. Stay somewhere else

Not worth the money Not a fan. I stayed at the pyramid in mid-February to attend a family event in town at a rate near $100 per night. Most amenities were closed due to covid, which is understandable. Less understandable are the outdated rooms with carpet stains and wall scuff marks. Additionally, this hotel charges $8.00 per night for parking... in a surface lot... with no security... at a hotel in the middle of a suburban office park. This is an extremely blatant cash grab from a hotel with no amenities and only a skeleton crew working. Unacceptable. On top of that, I booked a rate on the bonvoy app that included parking, but I was charged anyway and still haven't been refunded even after multiple calls to the hotel. My advice is to avoid this hotel, there are much nicer properties in Albuquerque for this price range.
