Generally Average The room was very nice; we booked a king suite. Our adult son used the sofa sleeper saying it was OK. The shower is a bit dated but C e we irked fine. The front desk staff was friendly & attentive. Our biggest issue was the key system….awful! Took us repeated tries to finally get our door open. We went out for dinner and, when we returned, used the back entry, used our key, swiping several times before it worked. Trying to open our room…it failed. I went to the Front desk where several other guests were needing their key reprogrammed because of faulty entry. This system needs a major update! It’s very inconvenient to try over & over especially when the key is supposedly fixed.

AVOID THIS HOTEL Upon check in, our guestroom number (room number 112) was loudly announced rather than pointed at, written on the key envelope. There were several gentlemen in the lobby watching the Olympic trials, so this was a large safety concern. The guestroom number of any guest should NEVER be announced. Unfortunately, when we asked for another room based on this, we were told they did not have others available. The guestroom makes us question the hotel standards of La Quinta. We booked a Double/Double room and found it unusual that the bedspreads on the two beds were different. One was textured without the black patterned overlay and the other was flat (and wrinkled) with the black overlay. The one that was wrinkled made us question if the bedding had been cleaned because it wasn’t folding creases, it was jumbled as if it was pulled up and made after being used. Then we saw the rest of our guestroom. WOW! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such poor hotel standards. · The air conditioning vent in the bathroom was disgustingly filled with visible dust, dirt, and possible pet dander · The air conditioning vent in the bedroom has gone through a humidity issue and has not been repaired correctly for some time causing a water stain on the wall below it · Paint throughout the room and bathroom is chipped, stained, dirty and bubbling · The guestroom door lock has obviously been semi-recently updated to the keycard lock system because they failed to fill in the screw holes from the previous door lock or repaint the door · The bathroom is missing a doorknob on the interior left door leaving just a screw protruding without the attachment · The bathroom also no longer needed two outlets (or was covering a hole in the wall) and installed two wallplates rather than correcting the problem · The floor in the closet was also not swept and contained what looked like red jellybeans on the floor I then realized that my daughter forgot her toothbrush. I walked to the front desk and was pointed in the direction of the Bright Side Market by a seated Front Desk associate who did not look up from his computer (or possibly phone) to address me. Luckily there was ONE toothbrush left which I purchased with the associate who again, failed to look up to acknowledge me. The next morning, we walked outside and put our luggage in the car and walked back inside at 10:02. I don’t understand how the entire breakfast area can be cleared in two minutes. I do understand that breakfast service ends at 10am but that is when breakdown of the breakfast service begins. An additional issue that morning upon departure was the three employees smoking cigarettes on the pathway to the hotel entrance. There isn’t a way to go around smokers using this area as their “smoking area”. It was not raining, so they could not use the excuse that this is the only dry area outside to smoke.

Don’t stay here! Filthy, hot, stinky, pool doesn’t work! I do not recommend anyone staying in this motel. I can’t even call it a hotel.
