Needs Improvement While it was conveniently located, the stay was not pleasant. I called 2 times to confirm that a checkin at 1am would be ok. I was told by an associate at that location it would be both times, both times stated qith no charge. So, upon our arrival, Gaykay started the experience poorly. He was sleeping on the couch when we arrived. Came to the door with no shoes on. He proceeded to tell me there was a $40 charge to start at 1am. His voice matching the associate I spoke with on 2 separate occassions, but because I couldn't prove it was him, I reluctantly paid the additional charge. Upon arriving in the room, it was really gross. The bathroom area was a disaster. It looked like someone was aiming for the walls, if you catch my drift. The toilet had dust and hair all over it. The tub looked like those overexaggerated Bath Fitter commercials, as if it hadn't been scrubbed in years. Even with a request to clean the bathroom, it was still in shambles. I was also told if I was a Choice Rewards member, breakfast would be comped. Gaykay said there would be a charge. At that point I had enough of the extras being tacked on, and asked to speak to the manager. He relented and offered breakfast for the remainder of the stay, because he too, was trying to lie about the number I called being the corporate line. Keep in mind this number was on his business card AND the front of the building, AND much of the literature associated with this location. The staff outside of Gaykay, was exceptional. They are the ones who salvaged some stars. The young lady in the restaurant was extraordinarily accommodating. The young ladies who took over the front desk after Gaykay's shift were marvelous. The cleaning crew that I encountered were sweet and pleasant. Would I stay here again? Only if it was gutted, renovated, and completely fresh. It was clearly a motel in the area that was purchased by the Choice Group, slapped together with some mild upgraded, and rebranded.

Needs a good cleaning First the "non-smoking" room smelled like an ashtray. Next, the room was dirty. The bathroom floor was greasy due to something sprayed on it perhaps to make it shine. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste splatter on it as did the frame around the mirror. The ironing board cover had a stain on it that looked like blood.

A Fine Choice After reading the reviews, we weren't sure what to expect. The area is light on lodging options, so we decided to roll the dice and take our chances. We were pleasantly surprised. Staff members were friendly, the room was clean, the location is good, and there is a restaurant on site. If you're used to staying at the Ritz, you won't like this place. But if you're looking for a clean room and safe space to spend the night, this is a fine choice.

Dirty room and saw roaches in middle of night Very disappointing..tried to reach management to address concerns and they never bothered to talk to us to resolve the issues. The bed was dirty and had hair all over the sheets. In the tub there was long black hair. Disgusting! I called the front desk and a woman came up and said there was nobody there to clean even though it was early afternoon so she just ran the tub and made the hair go down the drain! What kind of cleaning is that? I asked for the manager many times and no one was available and when I sent emails I received no response. Even in the restaurant there were holes in the ceiling right above our table from water leaks. The worst was getting up at night to use the bathroom and there were roaches on the door!! They should be ashamed of themselves for not assisting guests and not cleaning.
