Highly Recommend We stopped here on our way to the Sturgis rally in late July 2024. Ames is a college town and since Iowa State was on its summer break, there wasn't much traffic at this hotel. HOWEVER, the staff was extremely gracious and seemed genuinely appreciative that we chose to spend our money at their hotel. The rooms were spotless and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Not a good nights stay The room had an old smell to it. The A/C unit - which is the old type on the wall - kept making loud screeching noises and pounding noises. It woke me several times. The only way it would stop is if I turned it off Several stains on the floor and chair. Carpet is very warn, and shower has grout mold.

Guest rooms don't look anything like what is posted on their website. Worn out. Motel quality This hotel is worn out. I booked a suite. Look at the pictures... they speak volumes. Stains on furniture and counters. Shredded desk chair that belongs in the garbage dump, I can't believe they leave it in the guest room, it would better without a desk chair. Furniture doesn't match and is covered in vinyl. I guess they wanted something they could spray cleaner on. Our room didn't look anything like the pics on their website. No maid service. Checked in and there is a note in the guest room... the maid only comes every 3 days. We checked in on Friday, out on Tuesday. No service during our stay. $515 later...

Don’t book this hotel Do not stay here!!! As a travel agent I use Choice hotels often and typically have great luck and enjoy staying at them. The Ames location does NOT meet the choice hotels standards. We had 4 rooms and all were awful. They switched us rooms and they were also awful. Floors throughout hotel were so dirty and stained. Beds in all rooms appeared to have bumps all over bed Elevator broken Hot tub jets shot up instead of into water Milk in breakfast area past date by 5 days. When we alerted staff they replaced it. Please see attached pictures. Front desk staff was notified of issues along with customer service via phone

Yuck. Bad staff, bad experience. This place is a dump. The staff are unavailable, unskilled at using their reservation system, and unable to clean the facility. Room trash not taken out. Bed was lumpy. No towels for pool. Water was pooling under the dispenser in the lobby creating slippery conditions…and not apparent effort to fix. Cookies are supposed to be offered, but none seen for days in a row. Lot felt unsafe. Don’t stay here.
