Holiday Inn Express & Suites Antigo by IHG

Recently Renovated, Perfect for Families! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for a family reunion and have stayed here in the past due to it's great location and amenities. The kids loved playing in the pool and hot tub, and breakfast was perfect for us. We stayed on the 3rd floor where the rooms were recently renovated. I LOVE the new room set up! Best hotel in Antigo by far!

Eh. The front desk staff was really nice at least. I don’t know if it was the rainy weather outside or if this is how the hotel always is but it was DAMP in our room. The sheets felt wet, the furniture felt damp. Which of course leads to a musty smell. I don’t know if that’s because it was rainy outside or if is because of the old *needs to be cleaned* wall unit a/c (seriously there was debris you could see in the vents). It’s obviously a known issue because they had a dehumidifier in the hallway. Our king suite was spacious, but needed to be cleaned better. Only the most obvious surfaces were dusted. Everything was damp (as previously said) and/or sticky. The REAL bummer was the bathroom sink basically didn’t drain. It was late and we didn’t want to deal with maintenance in our room, so we just decided to tell them about it in the morning. Thankfully we had the wet bar sink. But - when we moved the drain strainer, the drain was CAKED in black sludge buildup. So gross. I cleaned that out myself. Once the bathroom sink did finish draining (it took about 10 minutes from the water used while washing hands) it brought a ring of hair and debris _ up to the sink. If that sink is being cleaned properly in between each guest, I don’t know how it would go unnoticed. All this to say, we stayed there because it was the closest hotel to the location we needed to visit but we won’t be staying here again. It was just too gross for $150/night. The staff at checkin and checkout were very friendly. That was the only pleasant experience to our stay. Unfortunately that can’t make up for the other stuff.

Bikers night of rest We had six motorcycles of the American Harley Owners of Leisure (AHOLs) stay here for a night after a windy ride from Thiensville, WI circumnavigating the remnants of 6 tornadoes that went through Central Wisconsin the night before. We found this hotel clean and quiet which was just what we needed. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The breakfast the next morning was marginal at best. We would stay here again.

Great Team! After our reservation was unexpectedly cancelled at another local hotel on the morning we were scheduled to arrive, we scrambled to find another hotel. Rhonda graciously answered my repeated calls to see if anyone had cancelled (fortunately someone did so we were able to stay here). On our last day the pool had a maintenance issue that caused it to temporarily close. Rhonda called our room to let us know when it was fixed so our daughter could swim before we checked out. We very much felt that Rhonda went above and beyond what we would have expected.

A wonderful place to stay while in Antigo. This establishment is very clean, friendly personell and quite comfortable. It was a joy to stay here as we visited relatives. The room was completely as expected for a Holiday Inn Express. The front desk staff offered us a bottle of a local spring water source which was refreshing.
