La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Auburn Worcester

Not Good This hotel is designated a safe harbor hotel for the refugees that came across the Mexican border that had nowhere to live. At least 60% of the rooms were occupied and lived in by these refugees. Our room had blood on the floor, the walls were cracked and stained, the paint was peeling. In the bathroom shower, the drain had a large area of rust around it. the carpets had stains from pets and it just smelled awful inside the rooms and hallways. All the residents were cooking food on hot plates and all the different types of food odors were pouring into the hallway. We checked out of the hotel, seven minutes after we checked in and stayed down the street and a Fairfield Inn hotel.

Thanksgiving Eve Stopped over night during a travel home for Thanksgiving. The hotel is fairly dated and questionable cleanliness. Sound proofing was bad and we ended up leaving in the middle of the night 2/2 lack of sleep from loud neighbors and crying babies

No fluff, but everything you need The room and breakfast were good, and the bed was comfortable. We were able to log into our Netflix account and watch our shows. I would have liked the WiFi to have a password, so only hotel guests would have access, but it didn't. The first room we were given had a strong smoke smell, even though rooms are supposed to be 100% smoke free. So they immediately gave us a different room.

There are better options First and foremost, they charge a $100 additional deposit WITHOUT any notification at the time of booking. When asked about the charge, the clerk started by saying that everyone had to pay it. I pressed and told him he didn't answer the question he said that it's because some people will smoke in the rooms. Yes, our room stank of old cigarette smoke, not badly, but it was there. They refund the $100 without checking the room the next morning. I took pics just in case. The mattress was stained, the tub was slow, and they were vacuuming the room above us at 7:30 in the morning! They gave some excuse about 12 hour shift for railroad workers, but if that's the case, put them on the first floor so guests don't have to hear the vacuuming overhead! Oh, and bring ear plugs, poor room insulation so you'll have constant truck noise from the 2 adjacent interstates. We skipped the breakfast, there wasn't even hot water for tea available. For the $$, I'd expect much better.

Nice clean hotel We stayed there over the labor day weekend. Everyone was very nice. The room was clean and had everything we needed in a weekend room. Breakfast was good. Clo was the best! She kept the breakfast area clean.
