THE ONLY HOTEL WORTH STAYING AT IN AUSTIN First of all this hotel is Amazing. The staff was really friendly and actually it felt like they wanted to be there. I love the laundry service all I have to do is provide soap. This hotel is 10/10. I love the happy hour with the free beer and wine. Love the breakfast the room was attended to everyday. They even washed my dishes which I didn't ask for. Other hotels like the Hilton and Marriott need to take notes this hotel was fantastic and I'll definitely be back.

FAKE IHG CLEANING PROMISE Roach. They changed our room due to the dirty tub and roach on our wall. Supposedly a General manager or Managent would call us upstairs upon arrival. NEVER CALLED. After we went home, We called repeatedly, left messages with staff. For some reason, Managent never called. So much for the IHG CLEANING PROMISE.

A crappy hotel room/stay My husband and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Austin. We booked our reservation for 1 night stay at Staybridge Suites with representative via phone. The check in process was fine. Immediately after, we went to Texasriadhouse for dinner. Upon returning, we went to our room for the 1st time about 10:15PM. My husband and I were watching a movie and he jumped up! I said, “what is it?” He said, “I’m looking for my shoe to kill the roach on the wall!” I told him to take a picture before he killed the roach. Afterwards, I went to the bathroom and the tub was dirty. I called the front desk, explained that the tub was dirty and my husband killed a roach in the room. The employee requested that we come downstairs to return current keys and receive new room keys. He told us that the manager would contact us the following morning. Of course, after we arrived at the new room, it was uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. We were concerned about roaches in our new room and possibly crawling from the walls to our bed during our sleep/bedtime!! We talked to Amanda (I believe) the following day (2.18.24). I asked the manager. However, per employee, the manager wouldn’t arrive until following day on Monday. I discussed the situation from the previous evening. The employee said she’d heard about that and sent housekeeping to the room to look for the roach!! OMG… I told her that my husband killed the roach and showed her the picture of the roach and dirty tub. I told the lady employee that to us, roaches meant “unclean”. Also, my husband and I are not used to roaches. The employee said that they sanitize their rooms. I will follow up with management (VIOLET BOUNTHAI) on Monday with the expectation of being compensated for our stay.

Great stay, great value, friendly staff Great value. Helpful, friendly staff. The breakfast was good. I'd come back here any time when visiting Austin. The staff was great to work with. Located near many places to eat and close to where we needed to go.

Only so so truly Visited this hotel for a 5 day trip to San Antonio. Very mixed results lead to the poor review Positives -the hotel staff are very friendly, especially at the front desk -the free breakfast is better than average. -cleaning is daily (not on weekends though, which they should tell you). However, given the challenges many hotels have at the moment here, this is OK -Parking is plentiful and free Negative -DONT stay in a room with a pull-out. We has a spot for 3, the pull out was terrible. The mattress was stained and showed some mould, the frame---ugh, stained. We did tell the hotel staff who shared they were glad to be notified. Were advised management and in house group would look at and contact (we are still waiting. for that visit as I type this from Canada...) A cot was provided free of charge. -they do have a M-W "happy hour'. When we went, staff offered nothing, the food was I believe frozen veggies on a small taco and no one cared to offer wine/beer despite the advertisement otherwise. However, staff, did have time to txt and eat the happy hour tacos! -only one elevator, it is very slow and floor was sticky!! -could do a better job of recycling at breakfast area. -the location is just off the highway, and truly is a bit difficult to get in/out of at times due to local traffic. -room keys are hit and miss, even staff warn of this issue upon check-in. This location is not terrible, but more of a 1 night/weekend stay place at the max. Overall--it would not take tons to improve this score, but I likely would not return at present.
