Great place to stay! The room was extremely clean, pool facing rooms offer a great view. Second floor has balconies and first floor has sliding door to sitting area. The pool area is great with nice furniture and good views. Rooms have everything you need, two sitting chairs, desk if need to work, microwave, huge mini fridge, lots of tv channels. Even had a toothbrush and toothpaste just in case. The price is unbeatable. I roadtrip on a budget so familiar with budget hotels, this far exceeds a "budget hotel"

Blood on the bed! There were bloodstains on the sheets and blanket. Apparently same day, and probably from the person that made the bed. To their credit they did change out the bedding eventually, but really? I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I slept in my sleeping bag and left before dawn. I requested the management to contact me several times, but they ignored me.

Good value hotel in Barstow We stayed here for 1 night as a sort of halfway house between destinations. The hotel is more functional than luxury, but the room was big, clean and comfortable, and it more than suited our needs. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast for guests (this was a welcome surprise to us) with a wide selection of fruit, cereals, bread, pastries, eggs, fruit – and waffles. It was actually one of the best breakfast selections of the trip, although a thoroughly 'no-frills' affair. If you need a good place to stay in the area, and one that won't break the bank, I would certainly recommend this place.

Average Hotel with Above Average Breakfast The room we stayed in was a little dingy and the whole property is a bit shady, but hey, that’s Barstow. Our stay at the california inn was uneventful. I will note that what everyone says about the breakfast is true: first class!! Never had anything like it at a hotel in this price range.

Great price, safe, clean and Breakfast! Nice independent hotel. Clean and secure despite the usual trash and vagrants of California flowing down the street. Nice breakfast similar to that at a Hampton, but the best I've experienced in this class due to freshly prepped items instead of frozen prepackaged items. AND... biscuits and gravy! OK, the biscuits were hard, but the gravy would have made any southern boy smile
