Great, Friendly Staff The hotel was fine, a clean room and a bed. However, what made this hotel stand out was the service from the people that worked there. We were traveling after Hurricane Helene, and we had been out of power for several days at our home. We had not been able to do laundry, so we were preparing to wash several loads of clothes in the hotel laundry. When the front desk worker heard our story, she took our laundry and washed it in the hotel's industrial washers and dryers. This saved us a lot of time and effort. The next shift came on duty and finished our laundry. We appreciated this act of kindness, and they did a great job. It was a true example of staff going above and beyond what was expected.

Could be better First off, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The towels and bedding seemed to be clean. Rates were affordable. That is the best I can offer at this time. Some serious lack of maintenance in the building I was in. Toilet leaked at the floor, damaged light switches, and the beds were not the most comfortable. That was the first room I stayed in. Requested another room for the rest of my stay. Again, the staff was great about it. The second room was in better shape overall, but I think someone needs to do a serious assessment of the property and perform some repairs or updates. Some lack of cleanliness in areas. Could be better BUT could be worse.

Nasty bathroom & unlocked exterior doors The front desk staff was very courteous & helpful. I reserved a King room but upon arrival, we found there was no elevator. My husband has a bad back & I have a bad knee. With luggage and a dog...steps would be difficult, so we asked for a 1st floor room and had to take a two doubles room. Room was small but clean, but the bathroom was horrid. The bottom was broken and had a quilt work of tiles to "cover" the broken bottom. I refused to step foot in the shower. Also, there was a serious safety concern with the exterior door on the side remaining unlocked and open for anyone to enter. In fairness, we got to the complimentary breakfast near the end but it was very limited and had nothing but a banana for my husband who has wheat allergies. Very disappointing.

A place to lay our heads for one night This hotel was just a place to lay our heads for one night on our way south. We wanted to stay around $100 all in and paid $106 after tax for a king room through Priceline. We knew breakfast wouldn't be much. It included oatmeal packets, bananas and oranges, waffle maker, yogurt, semi-frozen hard boiled eggs, a couple of cereals and toast, bagels and packaged muffins, coffee (no tea) and apple juice (no orange). The room was adequate for a night's sleep. It's been renovated, but the small walk-in shower has peeling paint or coating all around the bottom. There was a plastic cup from the previous guest on the bathroom floor, and my parents' room had what looked like Cheez-It or goldfish crackers on the carpet between the two double beds indicating a lack of attention with the cleaning. Very friendly staff. No elevator, stairs only to the second floor. Considering our budget and the going rate for hotels in the area, we got what we paid for.

Shawn was fabulous!! We needed a room just for one night while traveling with our puppy. Arrived at 9:30 pm tired and ready for a break. Shawn at the front desk was incredibly friendly, welcoming and kind! His smile was contagious and much needed after a long road trip! Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Thank you, Shawn!!!
