Comfort Inn Bellingham

Dirty Run Down Filthy. Dirty smell and cigarette smoke in the hallways. Stains and hair on the furniture and carpets. Sketchy people sitting on the curbs outside. Noisy into late night. Internet would not connect. Exercise room not functional. A dive. Do not recommend.

Not family friendly This hotel is absolutely horrible. I stopped by to visit a friend of mine not long ago and personally witnessed at the front desk the clerk tell a man that it was not ok for him and other parents to congregate outside. But they were totally ok with the tweakers in the bushes and the homeless people that are nodded out in their cars in the parking lot. I have also witnessed the manager profile and make judgements about people based on the program they are

Homeless hotel This hotel appears to be transitioning to a homeless hotel - homeless people in the parking lot, cigarette smell everywhere. The pool and fitness center have been demolished and appear to be under contstruction or perhaps refitted for some other purpose. The desk clerk carries a taser and told us he keeps a firearm ready as well. Families and vacationers should stay away from this hotel. This is my first experience with Comfort Inn and needless to say I will never pull into one of their parking lots again.

Run down & smelly I stayed here a few years ago and it was a very nice property. I was looking forward to returning to a reliable and great place to stay again. Now it's worn down and smells like a dirty pet shop in the hallways. There are people apparently living in their cars in the back of the building and entering the back doors, maybe some rooms are being used to lodge homeless people/transients. I saw a person smoking crack in their car, plenty of sketchy activity in the parking lot at night. Had our room not been clean and quiet, we would have moved after the first night, however, we were at the hotel a minimal amount of time and it wouldn't have been worth the hassle. We were also able to keep the stench from the hallway out of our room by keeping the window open and a/c on high. Garbage around the outside, of the building the back stairwell was a gross mess, trash, old clothes and appeared it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I told an employee who insisted they clean it daily. Later that day, I noticed that they did clean it. This place is not worthy of the Comfort label. It needs to be shut down and deep cleaned inside and out. I realize that COVID has made things tough in the hospitality industry, but that is no excuse for letting a property fall into disrepair. Breakfast was lousy, they're still doing the brown bag COVID cold bagel thing even though other Comfort Inns I've been staying at have long returned to full, hot breakfast months ago.

Poor Usually we are happy with Comfort Inns- but not this one. No one at front desk, waited quite a while til someone showed up. Carpets need vacuuming, not clean but the scary thing is the neighborhood. From our window we watched homeless climbing in the dumpster- trash everywhere- rats under our car- and an abandoned (?) tarped motor home outside our window. We worried that our car would still be there in the morning. Stay somewhere else_
