Quite enjoyed my stay there, on the basis of location, room, and brekkie Stayed there for several days while working at a research institute that was well connected by bus and underground.
The location of the hotel is excellent and of course it really helps that public transportation in Berlin is good (if in need of a few paint jobs).
The room from which I write (on the first floor) was well appointed (including safe, stable wifi, and a decent tv with many German-language channels - maybe not optimo for non-German speaking guests.
The star of the show is surely the brekkie they offer. Wow, just wow. Best brekkie I have had in a long time, first-rate by any measure (array of offerings and the quality). Flowers etc and table decorations were actually real, not some plastic stuff. (Confidential to management: Those plants in the revolving entrance door could use your attention; makes not for the best first impression.)
Other reviewers have complained about the staff. While some are nicer and more helpful than others, I have not encountered any-one who was rude. A couple of the receptionists seem in over their head but mostly (especially in the brekkie area) all the folks are friendly and very attentive.
Definitely would not mind being put up there again.

Woeful WiFi but otherwise a good hotel The HOTEL STEGLITZ INTERNATIONAL has a great location with prices on some nights that are great value. My big complaint is that the WiFi was rubbish - at times you couldn’t even connect and when you did it was slow and randomly disconnected. When I asked the staff in reception they said it was because the hotel was busy - not an excuse. I ended up burning my cell phone data allowance to do a limited set of my business emails. The breakfast is a little pricey compared to street prices for food but the quality and selection are good and you can fill up to face the day in a relaxed environment. On the plus side my room was just what I needed, good bed, good bathroom and air conditioning however not all my colleagues reported the same with no air conditioning in some rooms. If you get a room with a water bed and don’t like it ask to swap as there are many with good normal mattresses. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Not what it should be. Rude staff and no true amenities to warrant the 4 stars it boasts (no restaurant besides breakfast, no fitness, everything else is for a fee, including water and coffee, etc.). And no, having recommended places in the "neighborhood" does not qualify as a hotel amenity! (they tried to send me to a paid fitness center almost a kilometer away...)
It is clean and located centrally; those are the positives. Beyond that, one can do much better for the same price in other hotels.
The rude staff is the real downer; a completely ridiculous complication to an underwhelming hotel. I recommend finding another location and enjoying your Berlin stay rather than staying here.
Never again for me.

Good location, big rooms, outdated interior! Fantastic location if you want to be in the Steglitz area, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms- however, we felt like back in the 70s with the green/yellow carpets and wicker chairs etc!
decor is massively outdated plus they charge 1 euro for coffee when this was complimentary in all berlin hotels we stayed in.
I’d still recommend the place if you want to stay in the south-west area due to the impeccably clean and huge rooms and the good customer service!

Great hotel and good location. Great 3 night stay at this lovely spacious and reasonably priced hotel. Very helpful staff and wonderful breakfasts. Though it was a bit out of the Berlin city centre, it was very easy to get into the city with the excellent bus, train and underground services. This area was in itself very nice and hotel is just across the road from a square with water fountain which attracted a guitar playing busker on a Friday, market on Saturdays and flea market on Sundays. About a miles walk will take you to the Botanic Gardens and lovely eateries, bars, restaurants and good shopping area with Schloss Shopping Mall all at hand. A very vibrant but quiet area.
