Hotel Bethany Beach

Great stay ! Will stay again. The accommodations at this hotel are incredible! Umbrellas and beach chairs brought to the beach for you. Complementary drinks in the refrigerator. Beautiful pool so many great things to say about this hotel. Definitely worth staying. Also close to everything. Definitely try mickeys crab House next-door! 10% off if you are guest at this hotel. The food was delicious and then our walk downtown was awesome.

Highly Recommend! The location was perfect... close to beach. Walking distance to the boardwalk & downtown Bethany, plus all the yummy restaurants. The room was clean and well laid out + the breakfast was very good, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Mixed opinion First the positives-The hotel is very clean and was quiet given the fact it is the middle of summer and it was full. Breakfast was what you expect some hot foods which was nice. They also had some gluten free options which was a bonus. I had asked how far hotel was from beach prior to booking. I was told 2 1/2 blocks -maybe technically it is, but it is actually a relatively far walk when you are carrying all your gear, more like 5 average blocks so that was disappointing. There is a Sea Colony resort there with multiple high rises -so lots and lots of people and you have to walk around that complex to get to the beach Check in is at 4pm; arrived 350pm, was asked to give them 15 min. Came back around 415pm., it still was not ready. We originally asked for high floor quiet room, has us on the 4th floor, then switched to 1st floor -uh no. two women first floor next to exit, steps and ice machine. Waited again, got in room around 435pm. At 445 pm, our hotel door opens -a 20yr old male walks in and looks startled that I am standing in the doorway. Imagine how I felt. he says "did you find headphones?" I ask who he is he says he works at hotel and shows me his keys-No that is not acceptable as a form of ID. He had no ID, no nothing and he just opened our door! He asked us what time it was -it was 445-he said he didnt know anyone in room. That is awful . Hotel staff needs ID and of course need to knock. Told front desk (Raul) he comped us parking (that I didnt even know I was paying for). Not sure it was worth what we paid to stay for one nigh

Poorly Run Was not able to get a room until 5:40pm, check in was at 4pm. paid way more than the rooms were priced today and the front desk gave me an attitude about it. Told me to prove it… When we finally got a room they didn’t clean out the fringe so I was welcomed by the last guest’s leftovers. It could be a nice place, it’s just very poorly run. My key didn’t work on the outside door and when I told the front desk the response was “ok”. They didn’t offer to do anything… The staff is very poorly trained, or they just don’t care. I did get one night and parking refunded ($25 per night for parking in their lot, it’s a surprise when you arrive) so I’m probably paying for what I’m getting now, but never again will I return. I just got here and it’s been a very unpleasant trip so far staying with this hotel. If it wouldn’t disappoint the kids I would not still be here.
