Well loved and efficient This hotel was in a little out of the way spot in Blythe, CA. It's great for a stay when you are travelling with animals and have a bit of loading/unloading to do. The room was nice and furnished well. The furniture was "well loved" but comfortable. The staff was efficient, but not overly friendly. The hotel is right by Steaks and Cakes. You should definitely plan a stop there for a quick bite, just for the humor's sake.

A Nice Place to Stay, But Hard to Find We had a long travel day, de-barking at Los Angeles from our Cruise. So by the time we got to Blythe, it was dark. Had a very hard time finding the hotel, as the marquee lights were out in the street sign. Thank goodness for GPS on my phone! The exterior of the Property was undergoing a remodel, so there were lots of things out of place. The rooms, however, had been completed. Our room was very nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable, with nice amenities. We had a good sleep, a nice shower, and were ready to hit the road after breakfast. The breakfast was disappointing, with an absence of eggs or anything hot except coffee or a waffle. So we did not linger. The Manager was nice, but I would say you might want to bargain if you plan to stay at this place. A lot of things not quite up to speed.

Too many local druggies My ac went out in my home and I was going to book a room at this hotel but I noticed a lot of sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot and going in and out of rooms so decided it was best I stay elsewhere. Not to mention the run down cars for sale in the parking lot was a deterrent.

Pretty good stopover This is a stopover motel that I was satisfied with and would stay again. Here are the goods and the bads Positives -large clean, comfy, rooms -non-smoking room had no smoke smell -rooms have fridge, microwave, and large tub with mini shampoo/conditioner combo -this is a small establishment, maybe 20 rooms total all one story which contributes to a quiet atmosphere. If your neighbor has their TV on you can hear it a little but not too bad. -friendly staff -they sell snacks and microwave dinners at the front desk -I didn't have breakfast but others like it, and it's nice it's free -pet friendly and their is actually grassy areas for the dogs Negatives -motel with outdoor hallways - not a hotel like the name says -maybe this was just a fluke but the pool and jacuzzi was dirty -there isn't really a nice part of blythe, but in the past I've stayed on the other side of town with lots of restaurants. This is on the opposite side of town and only one restaurant within walking distance. Very abandoned part of town with really run down houses and trailers. Not a good place to go running with the dogs. -there are a lot of nice, clean, hotels in blythe and I think this place should be a bit cheaper for what you get.

Hopefully they improve. I've stayed here many times and I've always been happy with my stay but this time was a little disappointing. My pillow case and pillow had yellow stains on it (sweat?). They honestly looked to be strains and not recent, but still. Gross. And when I opened up the sofa bed and went to put the bedding on it, the green top blanket had something white on it that resembled snot (I hope it was snot). It was dried but fresh (ie. It would not have been there if the blanket had been washed). I brought both issues to the attention of the woman on duty that night and she fixed them immediately. I'm honestly wondering if they wash their bedding every time someone says in a room, or if they only do it if the bedding looks dirty. I know this is a common practice in hotels so I wouldn't be completely shocked, just disappointed. The staff has always been very friendly and this is the first time of 5 stays that I've had an issue so hopefully they don't continue to let this be an issue. Breakfast is your typical yogurt, cereal, bagels, waffles, toast, fruits, coffee, juice and bear claws. WiFi works well. Bathroom is always clean.
